Lorde's North American tour began last night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee, WI in support of her 2017 album Melodrama. There, amongst her vast selection of hits, she covered Frank Ocean's track "Solo."

To the audience, she expressed her love for Blonde, per Milwaukee Sentinel Journal:

Lorde explained to the Milwaukee crowd that she listened to Ocean's album "Blonde" when she'd travel back and forth from her hotel to a studio in New York where she made "Melodrama," and her passionate performance illustrated her deep connection.

Lorde has talked previously about Frank's influence on her album before in an interview with The Spinoff:

“In this sort of post-‘Blonde’ landscape, we can all sort of do whatever we want in terms of instrumentation. It’s exciting. I can use guitars and I can get a big gnarly Flume beat and throw it under water.”
