After the show was believed to be finished in August of 2017, a midterms special of blonded aired on Beats 1. The episode, notably marked (pt. 1), features a lot more commentary from Frank than episodes past, but is the first episode to not feature new music from the artist.

The episode was followed by an offer of free merchandise to fans who voted in key locations during the 2018 midterms, showing support for candidates Stacey Abrams in Georgia, Andrew Gillum in Florida, and Beto O’Rourke in Texas.
