Frank Ocean interviewed on Hot 97

Hot 97 host Angie Martinez scored a rare interview with Frank Ocean and with that opportunity, she asked about his affiliation with Odd Future, his collaborations with Jay-Z and Kanye, meeting Beyonce, and his future.

“I rarely do collabs, so that’s just one of the ones you absolutely do. It’s like a no-brainer. I didn’t really think about any of it. In the initial walk in… he wasn’t saying anything and I was nervous, but as soon as we started talking, he’s super cool,” Ocean told Hot 97. “I think he was trying to make me nervous, make me sweat. The second time I went it was Barry Weiss, Jay, Beyoncé, Kanye, couple other people, it was a pretty heavy room.”

“I have no idea. I just want to make sure the next thing is right and I don’t want to go on the record and say that it’s coming out on some phantom date that never appears.”

“It’s not up to me, but I would love to. I think that’s all I’m gonna say about that.”
