Frank Ocean interviews Dr. James Fadiman in “blonded Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds”
Blonded Radio returns after a 7-month hiatus with two new interviews. The first, titled “blonded Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds,” sees Frank Ocean conduct an interview with Dr. James Fadiman, an esteemed researcher in psychedelics. The episode also features a thirty-five-minute score produced by Frank himself.
Following a similar format to his December interview with Wim “The Iceman” Hof, the episode focuses on the interview and score. Unlike that episode, no additional music was released following the discussion. This episode ditches the episode numbering we typically expect, indicating it is a special, like the Xmas and Midterm specials of years past.
Frank Ocean’s publicists have described this episode as the “latest from a series oriented on ‘how to change your mind’.” This episode was followed by another, titled “blonded ENERGY!,” wherein Frank talks to Master Mingtong Gu.
Alongside the new episodes, the profile and banner artwork for Blonded Radio has been updated on Apple Music.
