Producer Dre Knight shares extended version of “Acura Integurl” by Frank Ocean
Producer Dre Knight has shared a 5-minute cut of Frank Ocean’s song “Acura Integurl” on SoundCloud, along with the story behind the track.
From Dre Knight:
Ever wonder why Acura Integurl was only 2 minutes long?
Living in Malibu was beyond lit. On any given day, you never know who I'd have in the studio. Well, on one summer night Frank Ocean came by with Alycia Bella. I had known Lyssi for sometime and she always wanted to introduce Lonny (Ocean) and myself. I played him this track I created years prior and he wrote what would become Acura Integurl on the spot. He recorded himself and I was happy about that because I was exhausted. When he was done with the verse and chorus, he played it for Tish Hyman and I. I looked at him and said "sounds good". Tish looked at him and told him it sucked.
I never saw Frank Ocean again. lol
This song will live forever. It's over 5 minutes long.
Below is video of Dre playing the tune on his keyboard shortly after Frank’s version of the track got traction.
