Lonny Breaux files to change his legal name to new alias Frank Ocean
Christopher Edwin Breaux, better known as “Lonny” Breaux, has filed paperwork to legally change his name to Christopher Francis Ocean, a formal rendering of his recently adopted stage name: Frank Ocean. He submitted the required form on his 23rd birthday—October 28, 2010—and the petition is pending approval from a California judge.
The filing comes a few days after Frank Ocean released his first solo music singles: “Nature Feels,” “Pyrite (Fool’s Gold),” and “Heartbreak + Jetlag.”
