Tyga’s new mixtape “Well Done 2” has dropped, and with it a track called “LovaGain” that heavily samples the beat from Frank Ocean’s Nostalgia, Ultra single “Novacane.”
The mixtape also features another reused beat from fellow Odd Future member Tyler, The Creator, with “Yonkers.”

American singer-songwriter Omar Apollo reveals in the liner notes for his second studio album, God Said No, that his track “Life’s Unfair” interpolates the melody or lyrics of a previously unheard-of piece by Frank Ocean.
Frank Ocean’s 2012 song has reappeared in “Virginia Beach,” the opening track of Drake’s eighth studio album.
UK singer James Blake’s new track “Always” interpolates an unreleased Frank Ocean song titled “Godspeed.” Blake released the piece on his third studio album, The Colour in Anything.
Henley (via his music label Rhino) sent Ocean a letter instructing him to stop performing the 2011 Nostalgia Ultra track “American Wedding,” which samples his rock band’s 1976 song. The notice also asks him to take it offline and publicly “express his admiration for Mr. Henley.” In a Tumblr post, Ocean describes this as an overreaction to an “homage” from which he hasn’t profited.
