Fakemink shows love to Frank Ocean at Coachella after hanging out in Japan

A slideshow displayed at the end of UK rapper Fakemink’s Coachella set on Friday, April 10, featured photos of him and Frank Ocean hanging out in Japan, as well as other images showcasing his recent activities. The portraits may date to December 2025, when Ocean posted a shot of Mink on his Instagram story showing them traveling together in the country. Mink is also known to have visited Japan two months earlier. Ocean has spent considerable time on the island in recent years, as evidenced by various pics shared on social media and sightings of him around Tokyo.
Ocean’s rapport with the rapper may originate through his luxury company, Homer, which Mink is seen wearing in some of his Coachella slideshow images. Fakemink has worn the brand’s jewelry since at least October 2024. In August 2025, he modeled a Homer necklace on the cover of The Face magazine’s Autumn issue, which Ocean and Homer re-shared on Instagram. The following week, during an Instagram live video, Mink said that Ocean had given him the “best advice” out of everyone in the music industry, after the duo met for lunch in London, England:
I love Frank, man. He’s actually giving me the best advice of anybody in this game. Also, he’s very understanding, and he listens. He’s not a talker. He talks when he has to, but he really listens—that’s why I f-ck with Frank. He’s cool.
Their friendship has sparked rumors of a potential music collaboration, which remains to be seen.
