Frank Ocean posts alternate artwork for “Chanel”
In a new Tumblr post, Frank Ocean shared an alternative artwork for his latest single, “Chanel,” following its release. The cover is designed by Endless collaborator Kevin McCaughey and features a photo of a Chanel-branded rocket lifting off at the French fashion brand’s Fall–Winter 2017/2018 Ready-to-Wear show in Paris, France, on March 7, 2017. The event included runway models in cosmic Chanel attire walking around “Launchpad No. 5.” It culminated with a faux-rocket launch that dazzled spectators like the glitter adorning the surrounding models’ moon boots.
The single “Chanel” premiered during episode 002 of Frank Ocean’s new Apple Music program, Blonded Radio. The show also included a remix of the track featuring A$AP Rocky, which the alternate cover will come to represent by default. Listen to both versions below.
