Frank Ocean talks about his high school experience in Tumblr Q&A
Tumblr: @frankocean.
In a new Tumblr post, Frank Ocean answered a fan’s question about what he was like in high school, including his grades, extracurricular activities, popularity, and crazy stories. Ocean—then known as Christopher “Lonny” Breaux—attended John Ehret High School near New Orleans, Louisiana, graduating from the four-year public school in 2005. Seven years later, he described his experience as “a blur” in his Tumblr Q&A:
maisondeballons asked: How was high school for you? Did you do well? Were you popular? Did you play any sports? Any crazy stories?
High school was a blur. I did ok, 3.2 [cumulative GPA]. Nothing special. I wasn’t popular. I did play a sport or two. Crazy stories… uhh, I don’t know if this is crazy, but I set the [Louisiana] state record for fundraising, selling mail-order candy and shit to my neighbors. And I got into a fight last week of senior year over a card game and kicked a guy in his face so hard, I knocked his earring out.
