Frank Ocean has shared a video on his Instagram story featuring a snippet of an unreleased song. The one-minute clip appears to be a screen recording of a cell phone media application playing the first half of a 3:48 track. It features Ocean’s vocals backed by a synthesizer.
The untitled song, which fans have dubbed “Boundaries” or “Younger Self,” includes the following lyrics:
Playin’ way more laid back than I did when I was my younger self / You would vent to me about assumptions, but they were educated guesses / That’s why I keep spinnin’ your block, tryna see all your sides, but your heart’s been tangled in barbed wires / You can hand it to me; I can handle it / If I had all but you and don’t face it, then it’ll come back ‘round, and it’ll affect your respect for me, oh, yeah / You got boundaries / They’re just obstacles you’re puttin’ in between us, oh, no / Pick and choose, and we both got options: misaffections, narcotic, ah / You’re a sex symbol, contradiction / You want extra than me, but it’s not threatening to me / I’m dialed in witcha / And I figured if you’re going out with them and y’all gettin’ filthy, then it won’t be angelic / And I can’t say nothing ‘cause this whole thing ain’t solid
