Payton Talbott shares snippet of unreleased Frank Ocean song in YouTube vlog
MMA fighter Payton Talbott has included a snippet of an unreleased song by Frank Ocean in a vlog titled “BPPV IX” on his YouTube channel. The 35-second excerpt begins at 11:34 in the video blog and is paired with a montage of clips showing Talbott recovering from his MMA training.
The untitled track, which fans have dubbed “Diary,” features a brief verse and refrain by Ocean with the following lyrics:
I’ve been stripped of a lot, as much as I’ve been gifted / We got history, now all the sudden, I’m a mystery / And the feeling’s alive, but what feeling is it? / Think true love’s a mirage, always in the distance, yeah / I read your diary, every line / I wanna drink your words like wine…
Earlier in the year, on January 18, 2025, Ocean made a rare public appearance to show support for Talbott in his Bantamweight bout with Raoni Barcelos at UFC 311 in Inglewood, California. Ocean first shared a photo with Talbott on Instagram in August 2024, and since then, the two have posted pictures together numerous times, including on Valentine’s Day 2025.
The latest teaser follows two other snippets Ocean shared via Instagram in late 2023: one unofficially known as “Boundaries/Younger Self” and another untitled song previewed with a video of Ocean dancing in a recording studio.
