Vitamin String Quartet releases Frank Ocean classical crossover album

Vitamin String Quartet (VSQ) has released a classical crossover album covering 13 songs by Frank Ocean, including tracks from his 2011 project Nostalgia Ultra, 2012 album Channel Orange, 2016 album Blonde, and 2017 single “Chanel.”

VSQ released the project on April 25, 2025, after the singles “Pink + White” on March 27 and “Lost” on April 10. The group released a third single, “Thinkin Bout You,” alongside the album as a visualizer, following a similar video for “Pink + White.”
The cover album includes violinists Leah Zeger and Lisa Dondlinger, violist Thomas Lea, and cellist Niall Taro, performing pieces arranged by Jim and Kathy McMillen. The Los Angeles-based group has been active since 1999, touring and releasing dozens of albums, covering a variety of popular artists.
