Frank Ocean, alongside his luxury brand Homer, has debuted a new Apple Music 1 online radio show: Homer Radio.

The show’s main artwork features a photograph by American artist Philip-Lorca diCorcia titled “New York (Afternoon Delight),” originally published in his 1997–1998 photographic series Streetwork. The title graphic incorporates Homer’s logotype, which uses a modified version of Neue Haas Unica designed by Toshi Omagari for Monotype; the “radio” lettering is a typeface by Sascha Bente and Max Winter, titled INTRA.

The hour-long program, described as “an office soundtrack” from Frank Ocean’s desk, will air on Apple’s flagship radio station every Thursday at 10 PM Eastern. Each episode will feature a guest DJ, kicking off with French artist Crystallmess. Based on episode one, the show will center around electronic music. Music artists are encouraged to submit electronic press kits (EPKs) to epk@homer.com to request their songs be played on air.

The artwork for episode one includes an abstract arrangement of diamonds and speakers, designed by Tim Lindacher, Jannis Maroscheck, and Michael Abel.

The show’s profile page on Apple Music includes an introduction to the program by Frank Ocean:

A one-hour window into what plays around our office after hours. Line array speakers hold court; they’re only a little loud. Someone’s vacuuming the carpets in another room, adding white noise to the song. A security guard coming back up from a cigarette break can hear it all from inside the elevator. Magnified eyes see through a headset loaded with grids of light and lenses and loupes. Skulls on swivels make no sudden movements, helicoptering over paperwork, pens, blades, vices, metals, and gems. Artificial light pours from small canisters like those dragons that spring from cylinders, like the never-ending ribbons pulled from a magician’s ear. Media fires back and forth, and back again across the net. Sorkin-like walk-and-talks travel down the hallways further and further from the sound. This is Homer Radio. An office soundtrack. Can’t you hear our ‘voice’? It’s not a deadline.

Homer Radio is Ocean’s second online radio program, following Blonded Radio, which premiered on Apple Music in 2017.

Episode tracklists and playlists for Apple Music and Spotify will be available on the blog’s dedicated page for Homer, as well as on Genius.com.
