Tyler, The Creator releases ‘Call Me If You Get Lost’ with Frank Ocean cameo
Columbia Records
Tyler, The Creator released his seventh studio album, Call Me If You Get Lost, featuring a song with Frank Ocean. At the end of the third track, “Lemonhead,” Ocean is recorded talking about a piece of art, the color green, and his love for life:
My bro is running his finger around the Ai Weiwei—Ai Veivei bowl. I got that sh-t sitting on my counter like a fruit bowl; that’s like a hundred racks.
I like the color green, in every shade. I like life… mine, like, my life… Don’t f-cking bite; y’all niggas love to steal.
Ai Weiwei is a Chinese contemporary artist. Ocean may be referencing his 2006 decorative piece Bowl of Pearls—consisting of two green porcelain bowls filled with freshwater pearls—or another one of his high-value artworks. In 2016, Bowl of Pearls sold at Christie’s for $391,500.
“Bite” is slang for copying or taking from another artist. In this context, Ocean could be referring to Tyler recording him (in jest) or an inside joke.
