Frank Ocean releases “Pyramids”
Frank Ocean released his second single, “Pyramids,” from his forthcoming LP. It arrives alongside a video revealing the name and release date of his debut studio album, Channel Orange, which is expected on July 17. Ocean uploaded the new track to SoundCloud and shared the link on Tumblr a few hours after posting the teaser and upcoming tour dates. It is his longest song to date at 10 minutes and features singer-songwriter John Mayer on guitar.
The artwork features a Simpsons-inspired illustration of an excited man in a hotel bed with a female escort. A pyramid is visible outside the window. Much like Ocean’s previous single, “Thinkin Bout You,” the song title is set on the cover in the typeface Orator, above an upside-down eject symbol.
